Andrea Meireles is an actor and writer, driven by curiosity and a desire to understand human relationships in all their complexity.

Empathetic by nature, she is known for her comedic talent, natural charisma, and emotional generosity. Classically trained, her love for the theater is what first inspired her to pursue this career. 

Born and raised in León, Spain, she moved to New York to perform Shakespeare, and today she has had the opportunity to work in all kinds of genres, demonstrating her versatility. She brings vulnerability, courage, attention to detail, and explosive intensity to each of the characters she portrays.

She believes in art as a space to spark conversation and bring issues to light. She’s drawn to strong, independent female characters, interested in stories about love, loss, and identity.

TRAINING

A longtime student of actor and acting coach Corey Parker. Past studios include the Margie Haber Studio, HB Studio, and BGB Acting Studio, among others. She has studied with master teachers Howard Fine and Fernando Piernas. Selected to participate in the month-long intensive program at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA.

Andrea holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre from the ESAD of Castilla y León, Spain.

She is fluent in Spanish and English, loves sports, improvisation and making people laugh. She also has extensive training in stage combat and fencing.

Andrea made her off-Broadway debut at the Symphony Space theater, with the play “Our Home on Ludlow”, playing the character “Anna”, an abused woman living in the 1900s with a sold out audience. With this role she won Best Supporting Actress at the LATA awards.

Additional acting credits include roles in plays such as “Fragmentos de Silencio”, premiered at El Barrio's Artspace PS109, winner of Best Play at Frenzy Fest 2023. “Un Reflejo”, debut as a co-written and performed, winner of two Talia awards: Best Microtheater Actress, Best Production, was premiered at the 13th edition of Microteatro at Teatro Sea, and “Mujeres de Cascos Ligeros”, being one of the main characters, also premiered at Teatro Sea, are the most recent roles in which she can be seen.

She recently booked three short films two as a supporting actress and one as a lead actress that are currently in post-production. With "For Lila" (Croatan Production) a multi-award-winning short film, she has won best supporting actress at the Independent Shorts Awards, January 2025, Los Angeles. Her short film, “Limpia”, lead role, premiered at the Columbia University Film Festival.

It is worth highlighting her guest star role in the miniseries “Un Abogado en Nueva York”, created in a vertical format for Instagram. Its episodes garnered 1.5 million views, and the series boasts over 300,000 subscribers on YouTube. Has been renewed for a second season.
